Code of Conduct

  • This Code applies to all Mentors, Judges, Organizers, and Participants.
  • Be respectful, kind and welcoming.
  • No Racist, Sexist, Homophobic, or otherwise language  associated with hate
  • No Crude, Vulgar, or Offensive language 
  • Harassment via Direct Message is not permitted.
  • No plagiarism

Dates and Timing

  • Registration Period
    • Registration begins on November 25, 2021, and ends on January 10, 2022, 12:00 AM Eastern Standard Time.
  • Submission Period
    • Projects may be submitted anytime before January 23, 2022, 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time.
  • Judging Period
    • Judging will commence at 11:00 AM and the Results will be presented at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on January 23.

Each team has to create a 5-minute video about their chosen challenge explaining their innovation and the submission deadline is due 11.00 AM EST on January 23. 

There will be no live presentations and your video submitted will be counted as your final submission. 

The video should be filmed in proper lighting and with clear audio making it easier for the judges to understand the video. 

Please explain your project in a clear and concise manner.

Judgement results will be announced at the closing ceremony

General Rules

  • Publicity
    • By participating in the Hackathon, Entrant consents to the promotion and display of the Entrant’s Submission, and to the use of personal information about themselves for promotional purposes, by the Sponsor, Administrator, and third parties acting on their behalf. Such personal information includes, but is not limited to, your name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, comments and hometown and country of residence. It may be used in any existing or newly created media, worldwide without further payment or consideration or right of review, unless prohibited by law. Authorized use includes but is not limited to advertising and promotional purposes.
  • Limitations of Liability
    • To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no circumstances will: 
      • (a) the Released Parties be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss of any kind (including, but not limited to, loss of revenue, income, business or profits, loss of contract or depletion of goodwill, loss of anticipated savings, loss of use or data, or damages for business interruption or any like loss) arising out of or in any way related to the Prizes and/or Hackathon or otherwise related to these terms, regardless of the cause of action, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, restitution or any other legal or equitable basis (even if the Released Party/Released Parties have been advised of the possibility of such losses and regardless of whether such losses were foreseeable); and 
      • (b) the aggregate liability of a Released Party or Released Parties (jointly), whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, restitution or any other legal or equitable basis, arising out of or relating to the Hackathon and/or Prizes or otherwise related to these terms, exceed $1 (CAD).
