Challenges:
Inviand:
Enzymes are proteins which catalyze chemical reactions in living organisms. They are ubiquitous and critical to life. Nearly every chemical process in the body is enzyme-dependent, including such functions as DNA replication, metabolism, tissue repair, and so on. The study of enzymes is important to help combat enzyme disorders, such as phenylketonuria, as well as to better understand how to keep humans healthy. The goal of this challenge is to predict enzyme classes from chemical reactions using deep neural networks. The challenge is simple; correctly assign at least the first enzyme commission number to each reaction. The necessary training and test datasets have been provided here
Healthcare AI:
AI in the healthcare industry is rapidly growing. Use AI to solve any healthcare issue such as patient waiting room optimization or anything else.
Environmental AI hack:
As our world leaders begin to address the rapid deterioration of our climate and environment, AI will be used more to help address these issues. Use AI to solve any environmental problem.
Business Solution:
From Wall Street to small businesses AI can be used to make money anywhere. Use AI to solve a problem in the business world.
IBM Quantum Computing Challenge:
Qiskit is open-source software for working with quantum computers at the level of circuits, pulses, and algorithms. Additionally, several domain-specific application API’s exist on top of this core module.
The central goal of Qiskit is to build a software stack that makes it easy for anyone to use quantum computers, regardless of their skill level or area of interest; Qiskit allows one to easily design experiments and applications and run them on real quantum computers and/or classical simulators. Qiskit is already in use around the world by beginners, hobbyists, educators, researchers, and commercial companies. The best use of quiskit will win the prize.
Riskfuel Challenge:
Riskfuel creates real-time risk management and valuation solutions that are accurate and very very fast. Their sponsored problem consists involves training a deep neural network to approximate the analytic Black-Scholes price of a European Put option. The neural net will be evaluated on a validation set defined on a closed domain of input parameters. Your goal is to obtain the best model performance (ie. Mean and Maximum Squared Error). The challenge can be found here
Assembly AI Challenge:
AssemblyAI offers a state-of-the-art API for automatic speech recognition. Voted the Best Public API of 2020 and funded by Y Combinator, our API is used by thousands of developers to transcribe millions of audio and video files every day. The challenge we are offering is to build the best project using the AssemblyAI API. The winning team will win a $100 Amazon gift card per person. Quickstart can be found here.
Google DSC Challenge:
McMaster’s google DSC hosts information sessions, hands-on workshops, and student-community collaborative projects centred around the latest and greatest in technology, all with the support of Google and Google Developers. DSC’s challenge includes designing an AI solution that aids in helping all demographics in improving their mental health and physical well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic, using Google’s offered products like TensorFlow, Firebase, and Flutter. McMaster Google DSC has attached 4 articles to help with research. 1,2,3,4
